Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1948, this supremely comfortable chair combines two manufacturing techniques that had previously defeated them – the bent and welded wire used in the base, and a sculptured plastic shell seat.
Timelessly appealing, the chair has a high flexible back with good ‘give’ and a deep seat pocket supported by an elegant Eiffel tower base, as inspired by the original design. Crafted from injection-molded ABS and chrome-plated steel wire.
The Plastic Side Chair is a good choice for a wide variety of settings, both indoors and outdoors; for domestic use, restaurants, waiting areas, offices, conference rooms, or even large auditoriums.
